- Supports Heavy Weight and Hold Up Against Tough Working Conditions
- Incredibly versatile
The Versatiel Shoe Mount Multiclamp allows you to attach your on-camera flash to a lightstand and add an umbrella or softbox. The Multiclamp makes it possible to raise and tilt your light - something that is not possible when your flash is mounted directly to a lightstand. Your flash can also be mounted horizontally or vertically and, by using three clamps, two flashes can be mounted together for more lighting power. Moving your flash away from your camera and adding an umbrella or softbox will give you even, diffused light that is flattering to your subjects.

Pretty good product. The cold shoe is not the greatest...the screw gets lose every once in a while, but decent.
NOTE: the the customer photos for this product are a great example on how to put ur umbrella and swivel together THE WRONG WAY. So do not follow them as a good. The first photo the umbrella has been put in from the wrong side (the hole for the umbrella is made at an angle so the flash would be pointing right in the middle of it...therefore in that pic the flash and umbrella run parallel and it't not because of the receiver. The second photo the swivel is put upside down...yes the flash point right in the middle of it but the umbrella is fixed to the lightstand. So if u want to tilt the umbrella u cant. This swivel is great if you know how to put it together, works with any flash and with those cheap receivers too. |
| Not meant for every flash. | 2010-07-06 | 3 / 5 |

I picked up a couple of these and when I placed my 580EXII on it. I found the flash sat way too high. This stand is not meant for larger flashes. Adding a radio receiver makes the flash higher. I uploaded two photos to show the hieght of the flash.
I tried using the head both ways but the result is still not what I want. I don't trust the shoe either. It likes to pivot the flash. I may keep it for a smaller flash but for my 580 and even the 430EX II, I need something aligned better and more stable. |

| I was on the fence as far as whether I should go with this one based on price or the Manfrotto one. Obviously this one won, I was not disappointed. The build quality is solid. Great deal |

| I have a few of these so I knew what I was getting and like the other ones I'm not disappointed. |
| Lever handle comes loose when the cap pops | 2010-05-03 | 1 / 5 |

Photoflex Shoe Mount Multiclamp
While adjusting the handle (pull out then release wherever desired) the cap at the end of the lever popped out. Soon I have the lever (handle), spring & the cap in my hands. I have reassembled the lever parts for now, but I am not keen on using it. Thankfully spring was not wound tight, else the tiny cap would have been launched far away.
The cap could be glued to the shaft (around which spring fits) carefully such that it would not block handle movement outward. Then again I did not buy this to repair it.
I will stick with Manfrotto 026 Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-Tite). |
