- Beautiful Inlay.
- Mahogany Back & Sides
- Rosewood fingerboard
Fret ends were a bit rough. also some frets were uneven heights, but with a little care can be easily filed down. Also, both the bridge and nut were cheap plastic. I made a brass bridge and cut an 'ivoroid'nut. The sound seems to be more powerful and solid now. amp'ed tone is so-so but acceptable. Feeds back rather easily. All in all, nicely finished and easy to play. Hard to find a better acoustic bass for 0!!!!!

| Plays well except for having to tune it often. Would have been great if it came with shoulder strap and/or pegs for attachment. Love the equalizer and the capability of connecting to an amp. |

| I was skeptical about this bass after reading mixed reviews, but really wanted a cheap acoustic bass to play. I just got it today, and I must say I am extremely pleased. I have seen reviews of this makers products saying they don't stay in tune and the paint is all messed up or something. This is not true of what I received. The finish on this bass is very nice. And it does stay in tune. For 85 bucks you can not beat this deal. I think I might even like it better than the Dean EAB I tried from guitar center. I'd say it's comparable. The only thing I noticed was the end of the frets, the cut is a bit rough, but its a minor cosmetic thing really, does not effect playability. I have been playing bass a year, so although not very advanced, I know my way around a fretboard and have tried many basses. If you want a cheap acoustic and are thinking about this one, I say go for it! |
